New Juaben South Municipal Assembly on Thursday, 22nd December, 2022 held its third Ordinary Meeting of the third Session of the Second Assembly. The meeting that includes the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Edward Abazing and other technocrats of the Assembly was sought to deliberate on salience developmental issues and other recommendations from the executive committee and other sub-committee meetings of the Assembly.
The Presiding member, Hon. Rapchar Botway who also the Assemblyman for Adweso estate electoral area did advise the House to desist from any form of conflicts among members of the Assembly in order to ensure a continuous togetherness and unity aid for the development for the good people of New Juaben South Municipality and country at large.
He then advised the honorable members to use the appropriate channel of communication to address their issues to management of the Assembly as office of the Presiding member is the first place to issue letters by Assembly members to management.
Mr. Rapchar Botchway again lauded the technocrats of the Assembly for administratively, handling all endeavors which have promoted peace both internally and externally within the Municipality. He therefore encouraged them to continue the good remarkable attitude exhibited so far for the successive years.
Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, in his sessional address noted some evident based projects or activities done so far under his watch by management of the Assembly. As he being the chairman of Municipal Security (MUSEC), he said, there has been peace within the Municipality for the year 2022 due to hard work with his security agencies.
He again said, the, Assembly has been able to attain 80% of its budgeted revenue despite all sort challenges from the revenue mobilization team in the year 2022. To develop and promote train as one of the fastest way of transport in country, MCE made know to the Assembly that, the government led by President Akufo-Addo has started a railways project from Nsawam through Koforidua to Bososo, he therefore urged the Assembly to support by helping to evacuate all squatters around railways in order to expedite the project. He added that, the Assembly members must hesitate to help apprehend thieves who steal metals of the railways.
