The New Juaben South Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Traditional authorities of the New Juaben on Saturday, 9th July 2022; between the hours of 6am and 10am prompt, organized a massive clean-up exercise ahead of the maiden Akwasidae celebration of the newly enstooled Omanhene of the Traditional Area, Nana Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III.
The exercise which is in routine base, sought to clean all chocked gutters and clear all refuse from streets and gutters saw the presents of the Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, Constituency Chairman for the NPP Hon. Charles Osei-Poku Boakye.

Others include the former Regional chairman for the NDC, Hon. Tawia Boateng, heads of department, Assembly members, party faithful’s from both NDC and NPP, the Security, zoom lion and some executives of both the NPP and NDC respectively
The newly elected and sworn-in Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, called on all and sundry of New Juaben to live in harmony with each other so that Koforidua can regain it past glory.
“We cannot develop if we harbor ill-health against each other. I am in for peace and development, so I entreat everybody who operates within the boundaries of the New Juaben to help these dreams to be fulfilled” he entreated.

This collaborative effort will not be a one-day wonder but will go a long way to bring development and sustain the peace that we are all clamoring for. Let trust and care for each other till development comes on our door-steps.
For his part, the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong commended the traditional authorities for rocking shoulders with the Assembly for ensuring that the Municipality cleans of filth. He said democracy is all about the involvement of stakeholders who matters in decision making, in this regard, the involvement of Nananom in some of these activities will go a long way to ensure development and unity.
‘I urged all sons and daughters of Koforidua to do way with all pertinent issues and come to the drawing board to ensure that the region is develop devoid of partisan colors.
Briefing the media, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi reiterated the need to participate fully in every clean-up exercise to prevent ourselves from common diseases.
