The 2022/2023 academic year kick-started on the 10th of January 2023 and as the normal routine, the Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly; Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi together with the New Juaben South Municipal Educational Director, Mr. Mustafa Haruna Appiah and some technocrats from the Assembly visited some various schools within the Municipality to welcome the pupil who go to school for the first-time and used the opportunity to encourage the kids to study hard as they begin a fresh academic year.
The tour commenced at the Nana Kwaku Boateng Basic School through to the Police MA, Trinity Presbyterian Model School, St. Dominic Catholic Schools and finally ended at the Adweso SDA School.
The Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly; Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi visited the Kindergarten and the Primary 1 class in all the listed school and had an interesting and brief interaction with the students in class.
He also took a look at some ongoing construction of ultramodern kindergarten building facility in schools such as Nana Kwaku Boateng Basic School and Trinity Model School to inspect the progress of work and the welfare of the pupil.
The Heads of the various schools also shared their grievances including security, playground and flood-prone matters with the Municipal Chief Executive. He also gave them a hearing ear and promised to put up street lights and fence at Nana Kwaku Boateng School to increase the security standard in the school.
As an initiative to expand the Police MA, the MCE also promised to construct a six-unit class room for the school. He further promised to construct well drainage systems in schools like Trinity Model School and St. Dominic School so as to curb the flooding situations in the schools.
Hon. Appaw-Gyasi promised the education directorate that management is bent to complete all uncompleted buildings including that of Adweso SDA School and help repaint the school buildings in order to boost teaching and learning within the Municipality.
