The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, has handed over site to Nhyrob Limited for the construction of an ultra-modern Poly-clinic for the Zongo Community. Present at the meeting where the Zongo Chiefs, Assembly members, Heads of Department, Consultant and Contractors, Health professionals.

The project which is expected to be completed to the health directorate in December 2023, to help bridge the health care gab within the Municipality. The project will entail an Operating Theatre, 2 bed recoveries, X-ray, Pharmacy, Laboratory, 4-Consulting Rooms, Treatment Room, Staff Rest Area and Washrooms, Waiting Area, Car Park, Maternity with 3 delivery stations, 4-bed laying- in ward and 4-bed labour room.

In his address, the MCE, Hon. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi commended the government for taking keen interest to improve the health conditions of citizens. He expressed his deepest condolences about the demise of some leaders of the Zongo community who were part of the initiation of the project.

According to the MCE, the construction of this poly clinic is one major initiative of the President of the Republic that every community should have at least one clinic to attend to all medical issues. He ended his speech by urging those in charge of the construction to do a good and beautiful job.

The consultant to the site, Mr. Kyere thanked the Zongo leaders, Assembly and Ghana Health Service for their readiness for the project to commence on time. He further assured them of speed and quality work so as to meet it intended purpose.
